Acupuncture is a time proven medical system used to effectively threat many conditions and disorders in the body. It uses tiny wire thin needles applied to specific locations on the body to gently adjust one's energy and to help restore health and balance.
The Ren Dao Wellness Center provides the following acupuncture treatments:
Full body acupuncture sessions (45 to 60 Minutes).
Auricular (ear) acupuncture sessions (30 to 45 minutes).
Stress relieve acupuncture sessions (30 to 45 minutes).
Community acupuncture sessions (30 to 45 minutes).
Full body or auricular acupuncture with a massage session (60 to 90 minutes).
Community acupuncture sessions are provided in an open group setting. Treatment is applied to head, ears, arms (usually elbows to fingers) and legs (usually knees to toes).
Allow an additional 15 to 30 minutes for initial visit consultation. Free 15 minute consultation are always available.

Michael Kelly is board certified in Acupuncture and Herbology and is licensed to practice Acupuncture in New York. He received his training at the New York campus of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. He is a graduate of the Instituted of Integrated Nutrition and is Certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a Holistic Health Counselor. He is an Addictions Detox Specialist and has completed training in the NADA protocol at Lincoln Hospital, Bronx NY. He has traveled to China to studied at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center and to do clinical internships at various hospitals in Beijing China. He has also traveled to China and Tibet to further his understanding of Emei Qi Gong and healing practices.

Herbal Consultations applies the theories and diagnostic principles of Oriental Medicine to select single herbs or herbal formulas to treat various health conditions. Herbs may be prescribed in pill form, as granulated powders (usually taken with warm water) or as raw teas requiring cooking or preparation. Standard herbal supplement may also be recommend as well as common foods as part of a treatment plan.
In the practice of Chinese Medicine, some conditions respond better to acupuncture while others are best treated with herbs or with acupuncture and herbs combined. Your practitioner will inform you of the best treatment options.

Erica has completed internships with New York Presbyterian Hospital and is currently working at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown providing dietary intervention and education on inpatient units and in the outpatient cardiac rehab program. She has a passion for health and fitness and enjoys helping others achieve their health and fitness goals.
