What is a Kettlebell?
A kettlebell or girya (Russian) is a traditional cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. The kettlebell goes way back. It first appeared in Russian Dictionary in 1704. (The weights can vary from 18lbs to 88 lbs.)

What we’ll cover in this introductory workshop:
- Demonstrate the correct and safe way to handle a kettlebell (We will work with weights ranging from 18, 26 and 35 lbs.)
- The three basic kettlebell lifts that build on everything
- Bodyweight exercises vs. kettlebell – which is better? Why not both
- Warm-ups To Do or Not-To-Do before kettlebell workouts that is the question
- And more – time permitting. Be prepared to sweat.
Please wear loose, comfortable fitting clothing and a towel. Chalk will be provided in lieu of weight lifting gloves. (But if you have gloves that don’t go beyond the wrist – bring ‘em.
